Rybnovets painted a portrait of Poletaev, who will go to Italy

On May 9, in Moscow, in the procession of the Immortal Regiment, a portrait of Fyodor Poletaev was carried.

The author of the portrait is Konstantin Nikitin, artist, head of the art studio of the Rybny Socio-Cultural Center. He told how he created the picture.

“The portrait was ordered by the charitable Foundation of Heroes of the Soviet Union. Every year, its employees carry large portraits of Heroes in the procession of the Immortal Regiment.

The portrait of Poletaev is approximately 1.5 by 2 meters in size, painted in oil. In the background, I depicted a flag that combines Italian and Soviet. I painted a picture for several months. Now this portrait will be taken to Italy to Genoa, where the ashes of Poletaev are buried.
