Ryazan repeat offender-robber was given out by a dog

A 43-year-old drunk Ryazan man was resting from the heat on the street next to his house in the Oktyabrsky district of Ryazan. He was approached by an unknown man, also drunk, walking his dog. The meeting turned into a fight. A fight broke out, the victim fell to the ground, and a mobile phone fell out of his pocket. An unidentified person stole a cell phone and fled. After regaining consciousness, the victim contacted the police.

The search for the criminal was complicated by his inconspicuous appearance, but during the incident he was walking a dog of a rare breed, the appearance of which was remembered by the victim. The police had to interview local residents, wait for the next walk and detain the robber.

It turned out to be a 23-year-old man, previously convicted of theft, fraud and robbery. He said that because of alcohol he could not be restrained and behaved unnecessarily aggressively with his interlocutor. According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Robbery). The suspect faces up to four years in prison.
