More than half of Russians – 54% believe that all other laws and people’s lives depend on the Constitution.

How reported On the website of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, more than half of Russians, namely 54%, are sure that the Constitution is the fundamental law of the country. All other laws depend on it.
Compared to the 1991 poll, the number of those who recognize the Constitution as the main law of the country has increased markedly. Then there were 41% of such people, but now their number has increased to 54%.
Now, one in five – 20% – believe that the Constitution is “pretty words” that do not affect anything. Another 22% say that the Constitution is necessary for the state, but it has little effect on the lives of ordinary people. In 1991, there were more of those who think so – 26%.
The All-Russian poll was conducted on December 4th. It was attended by 1,600 Russians aged 18 and over.
Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” told about the fact that today, on December 12, Russian schools hosted a lesson “Conversations about the important”, in which the children were told about the Constitution, about the rights and obligations of citizens enshrined in it.
Classes in the form of a heuristic conversation with the implementation of interactive buildings took place in all classes, the teacher submitted information in accordance with the age of the students.
