A Kiev court sentenced a Russian publicist, a member of the central council, in absentia Russian Military Historical Society Armen Gasparyan and sentenced him to ten years in prison, writes Ukrainian news agency “Ukrinform”.
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of the capital found him guilty, including of promoting allegations of insolvency Ukraine. He sentenced Gasparyan to ten years in prison.
In February, a trial in Ukraine in absentia sentenced ex-journalist of RT channel Anton Krasovsky to five years in prison with confiscation of property. Krasovsky received the maximum term of imprisonment under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – on public calls for genocide and the overthrow of the constitutional order.
