Attack helicopters Ka-52 “Alligator” pose a great danger to the armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army, so they must be destroyed even at the airfields. This opinion is shared by an aviation expert from Ukraine. Valery Romanenko.
“Very dangerous. There are a lot of them in Russia. These helicopters are quite quiet. If our soldiers on the front line still hear the planes flying up and manage to hide, then when the helicopters fly up from the rear, also against the wind so that there is no sound, and make a “hill”, launch rockets, then this strike may be unexpected for the advanced units,” the expert said on the air of Radio NV.
The effectiveness of the Alligators also lies in the fact that they have a large assortment of anti-tank missiles. Now, when there is no green light anymore, the armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have become noticeable and are an easy target for helicopters, Romanenko noted.
“The danger lies in their large number and in their combat capabilities. This is a dangerous thing for us, we need to destroy them as much as possible, and, most importantly, we need to strike at their advanced airfields,” the aviation expert concluded.
