Romanian military expert Valentin Vasilescu stated that Russian troops intend to deprive APU counter-battery radars to significantly reduce the effectiveness of artillery systems. PolitRussia writes about this.
Yes, complexes HIMARS and M777, received by the Ukrainian army from foreign colleagues, are dangerous due to radar stations (RLS). They can automatically forward enemy artillery coordinates, Vasilescu explained.
“Emission of electromagnetic waves makes it possible to detect targets and place radars at a short distance from the front line, which makes it easier to defeat them,” the specialist said.
Thanks to active work in this direction, the RF Armed Forces managed to destroy six counter-battery radars on December 30.
Earlier, the former head of the Israeli intelligence services, military expert Yakov Kedmi spoke about the main weakness of the NATO countries. According to the expert, the North Atlantic Alliance exists in a situation of a chronic shortage of weapons, which manifested itself even during the armed conflict in Libya.
Kedmi believes that the Libyan conflict is indicative of understanding the real combat capability of the alliance forces.
So, according to him, after a week of active bombing by NATO air forces, the countries belonging to the alliance began to send a request to the United States for the supply of depleted ammunition. More about it read in material Public news service.
