Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the state to present a note due to recent statements by the official representative Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova about the head of the country Maya Sandu. About it writes RIA Novosti.
Recall that Zakharova admitted that during her presidential campaign, Sandu “lied”, promising to protect the rights of national minorities. Thus, she reacted to the new code on elections in Moldova, which, according to her, “infringes on the interests of the Russian-speaking population” of the country.
Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu said: “This is aggressive, unacceptable rhetoric. After the latest statements by Ms. Zakharova, the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry, he was handed a note of protest because of direct insults to the President of Moldova.”
As the Public News Service reported earlier, Chisinau stores the saved gas on the territory of Ukraine, since vaults Romania is overcrowded. This follows from the statement of the Prime Minister of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilitsina.
Recall that earlier the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that the Russian Ministry of Energy would deal with the issue of storage by Moldova of part of the gas purchased from the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
