On Wednesday, January 4, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that Moscow would continue to develop the combat potential of the army. The head of state made the corresponding statement as part of an event dedicated to the entry into combat service of the frigate Admiral Gorshkov.

Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced two weeks ago that the frigate would begin its service in early January 2023.

It is specified that the ship is equipped with Zircon missiles.

“I would like to emphasize that we will continue to develop the combat potential of the Armed Forces, produce promising models of weapons and equipment that will guard Russia’s security in the coming decades,” the president stressed.

Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that as part of the upcoming telephone conversations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, he intends to offer his mediation to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
