The attack on the Sheskharis complex showed the Russian Federation that it could lose the opportunity to export oil.

Attack on the Oil Harbor”Sheskharis“near Novorossiysk, in which Russia accuses a naval drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is important in terms of the export of Russian oil products. It signals to the Russian Federation that it may lose the ability to export energy resources by sea.

How declared InformNapalm OSINT analyst Anton Pavlushko, the complex in Novorossiysk Bay is one of the largest Transneft complexes in southern Russia.

“It looks like a Ukrainian sea drone can reach Novorossiysk. In the morning, part of the Russian media said that there was an attack on the Transneft oil depot in the port, the other part denied everything. But there was some kind of explosion at about 3 o’clock at night. And now the video has already appeared. Indeed, there was an explosion,” Pavlushko said.

At the same time, the company itself actively denies the version with a drone attack.

“Why is Transneft so actively opposed to the version of a drone attack? Because their complex in the Novorossiysk Bay is one of the largest in southern Russia. Such a gate of Russian oil exports to the world. The gates are gradually being closed by sanctions, but just in case, in the form of nails in A Ukrainian drone also knocked on them,” Palushko added.

The analyst stressed that from the coast to the terminals – about 30 meters.

“A daring attack. In principle, sooner or later, a complete” shutdown “of the port from exports may turn out. This time, the oil transshipment complex itself was attacked. Tankers themselves have not yet attacked – there is enough of such an explosion. The Russians are attacking critical infrastructure in Ukraine – in response, they may lose their export gates to the world,” the analyst concluded.
