Vygon Consulting business consultant Ivan Timonin said that Russia was included in the list of the largest exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe in 2022, despite Western sanctions. FAN reports.

According to the source, the sanctions policy against Russia by the EU countries did not prevent Russia from remaining among the largest suppliers of liquefied natural gas to Europe.

The leading position among LNG suppliers to European countries is occupied by the United States. According to the source, 53 million tons of LNG were shipped from the United States in 2022.

In second place on this list was Qatar with its 19 million tons of shipped raw materials.

Russia was in third place, sending 16 million tons of the resource to the EU countries in 2022. According to the source, the volume of LNG exports from Russia to the EU market, contrary to expectations, increased by 3 million tons compared to 2021.
