Moldova ceased to depend on gas from Russia. Fuel for the right bank of the Dnieper is now being purchased from the state company Energocom, said Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic Andrei Spinu.
According to him, for the first time in history, the right bank will not consume gas supplied by Gazprom. In 2021, the country’s authorities promised that they would create reserves and find alternatives.
“We managed to do it,” wrote Spinu in the Telegram channel.
“Moldovagaz” in December will buy from “Energocom” about 100 million cubic meters. m of gas. Preliminarily, the price will be $1,108.61 per thousand cubic meters. m.
The tariff for the population will not change, the minister specified.
At the beginning of the winter of 2022, Spinu said that right-bank Moldova was temporarily refusing Russian gas. The entire volume of deliveries from the Russian Federation will go to Pridnestrovie.
