This week it is planned to publish a decree of the leader of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on response measures to the introduction by Western countries of the marginal cost of Russian oil. This was stated by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.

At the briefing, he noted that the presidential decree is almost ready.

“We’ll let you know as soon as it appears,” Peskov told reporters.

On December 9, Putin announced the approval of a document that would include clear responses to the price ceiling.

Earlier, Vedomosti reported that, according to draft decree, the authorities of the Russian Federation are considering three possible options for a response mechanism to the restrictions of the West. According to the publication’s sources, Moscow is working on such measures as a complete ban on the sale of energy resources, the impossibility of exporting under contracts with the condition of the marginal cost of oil, and the establishment of an “indicative price”. It is emphasized that all proposals are still under discussion.
