President of Russia Vladimir Putin drew certain conclusions from the attitude of countries and leadership North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) to Moscow back in the 1990s. The authors of the article in the German Junge Welt drew attention to this.
The publication says that Putin learned one of the most important lessons after the country’s former leader Mikhail Gorbachev abandoned his ambitions and capitulated to NATO’s claim to control Eastern Europe.
At the same time, journalists considered that the news about the delivery of tanks from the NATO arsenal to Ukraine was a chance to “test the patience of Russia and Putin.”
Earlier, a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor, told the truth about the attitude of Europeans towards Ukraine. According to him, many are simply not interested in what is happening.
