President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a meeting with university students in Kaliningrad region commented on the request to support the idea of creating an international organization that would engage in further interaction with participants in the World Youth Festival, which will be held in Sochi this year. According to him, applications for this event were submitted by 300 thousand people from 190 countries, reports RIA News.
“It’s a good idea, of course, we need to think about it. Applications were sent by 300 thousand people from 190 countries. Therefore, this event promises to be large-scale, powerful and beautiful,” said the head of state.
He expressed confidence that the festival will be held at a high level, and also promised to appeal to the government with a request to create a body that will coordinate contacts, including those who will come to Russia to the festival.
Previously in Moscow passed festival “It’s a family thing for us” for families from new regions. It was attended by 268 competition participants from 66 family teams from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
