AT Kremlin reported that the presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation. The leaders of the countries agreed to strengthen allied relations and expand cooperation.

According to the press service, “the mutual desire was confirmed to strengthen the Russian-Uzbek relations of alliance and strategic partnership.”

In addition, an agreement was reached on increasing trade turnover, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including energy.

The report notes that Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin for the hospitality shown during the informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS countries on December 27, 2022.
