Vladimir Prokopov, head of the Working Group on the study of the removal of memorial objects related to the history and culture of Russia and the USSR from the public space of the city of Kyiv, said that from the streets of cities Ukraine it is necessary to remove all objects that are identified with Russia.
“Today we came to the conclusion about two objects: we will remove the bust of Pushkin and the Vasilevskaya memorial plaque from the streets of our city. Another object that was actively discussed today is the monument to Pushkin on Pobedy Avenue, 40, ”the official noted.
According to him, the monument to the Russian poet is of national importance, so it can be moved only after obtaining permission from the Ministry of Culture.
Prokopov noted that the population of Ukraine is actively voting for the renaming of objects associated with the USSR and Russia, of which there are currently 296 on the list.
Earlier, the Public News Service wrote that the military analyst Vladimir Prokhvatilov saw a British trace in Ukraine’s attacks on Russia.
