Possible tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the onset of cold weather have been revealed

With the onset of cold weather, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may intensify attacks in the Kherson direction: the swampy soil in the lower reaches of the Dnieper may freeze and become hard, allowing the transfer of armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers and personnel. A military expert, director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces stated this in a conversation with Yuri Knutov.

“[Сейчас украинский десант терпит неудачи из-за того, что] it is difficult for him to cross. Bali attempts to land troops on the left bank of the Dnieper with the aim of expanding and further advancing to Crimea, but this attempt failed. The main reason here is that the Russian side is working very steadily: our aviation and artillery are active. It all comes down to the fact that the enemy is trying to cross on boats, we destroy him, and then everything repeats again,” explained Knutov.

At the same time, he did not rule out that with the onset of persistent cold weather and freezing of the soil, attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces will intensify, therefore it is important for the Russian army to prepare for this in advance.

“In the lower reaches of the Dnieper there is a swampy area. It will freeze, and it will be possible to transfer armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and personnel through it. So the attacks will intensify. But I think our artillery and aviation will be able to cope with the destruction of bridgeheads that the enemy will try to organize,” the military expert concluded.

Previously chapter Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu statedthat the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempts to conduct an amphibious operation in the Kherson direction failed. He also reported heavy enemy losses.
