Pope Francis called the conflict on Ukraine “world war” that will not end anytime soon. This is reported Spanish ABC newspaper.

“Now Vladimir Zelensky is sending one of his religious advisers to me for the third time. I am in touch, I accept, I help,” he said.

“I don’t see the end [конфликта] in the short term, because this is a world war.”

The pontiff added that “there are already several hands involved in the war”, which have many interests.

Earlier, the Public News Service wrote that the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops to a distance from which they would not be able to strike was the main requirement for creating a security zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was announced by the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia”, a member of the main council of the administration of Zaporozhye Vladimir Horns.

The IAEA has repeatedly stated the need to create such a zone.
