Polyansky: Relations between the Russian Federation and Israel due to the conflict in the Gaza Strip have not changed

First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky told RIA Novosti that relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv have not changed at all against the backdrop of aggravation in the Middle East.

According to him, Israel was initially aware of Russia’s opinion on the Palestinian issue. As part of the current war in the Gaza Strip, the Jewish state must understand that the Russian Federation, as before, will not support its radical actions against the people of Palestine.

“We have always been critical of what Israel did in the occupied territories. And Israel knew about our criticism,” Polyansky emphasized. He recalled that Moscow had previously criticized Israel’s attitude towards Gaza, so with the outbreak of hostilities this criticism only intensified.

Earlier, Polyansky expressed confidence that the United States does not want a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. More about this read the material Public News Service.
