USA lagging behind Russia during the so-called arctic race. Politico author Kenneth Rosen writes about this.

In his opinion, this region is important for the global economy and strategic influence. The journalist emphasizes that the Russian presence in the Arctic is much larger than the American one.

The observer recalls that in the last twenty years, the Russian Federation has dominated the struggle for the region. Moscow is regularly building up its fleet of nuclear-powered icebreakers, ships and submarines. Russia is also developing mining and oil wells here.

America, in Rosen’s words, is only “playing catch-up.”

Earlier, the Public News Service reported that AfD co-chair Tino Khrupalla commented on the opening of the country’s first floating terminal to receive LPG. In his opinion, this measure will not help Germany cope with the current energy crisis.
