The Ministry of Labor explained who has the right to early delivery of pensions before the New Year holidays. They also told how the mechanism for paying pensions will change in the coming year.
As reported in Telegram channel Ministry of Labor, from January 1, the payment of pensions will be carried out through the Social Fund of Russia. For recipients, all delivery dates for funds will remain the same. For example, those who received their pension on the 5th day of each month all past years will continue to receive it on the 5th day.
Traditionally, on the eve of the New Year holidays, January pensions are delivered in advance. If citizens receive a pension at the bank, and the date of transfer of funds falls on weekends and holidays, then the money will be transferred earlier – in the last days of December.
If the pension is delivered at home, then usually this happens from the 3rd to the 25th of each month. And from January 3, postal services will deliver pensions as usual.
In addition, it is emphasized that January pensions will come already in an indexed amount, regardless of when they are delivered. As before reported the online publication Uchitelskaya Gazeta, from January 1, 2023, the pensions of non-working Russians will be indexed by 4.8%.
This year, the pensions of unemployed Russians have increased thanks to an interim indexation of ten percent, which was introduced this year. As well as the future January indexation. Therefore, the total increase in pensions compared to the beginning of this year amounted to 15.3%.
