In 2022, more than 200 youth laboratories were opened across the country. The opening of scientific centers increases the efficiency of priority areas: microelectronics, agriculture, new energy and medicine, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Politician notedthat the success of each state primarily depends on the results of research activities and their further application in all spheres of society. Thanks to the new laboratories, a partnership program is being implemented between scientific teams and enterprises in the real sector of the economy. Specific requests from the customer, received in the course of cooperation, make it possible to obtain applied scientific results and a rapid influx of innovative technologies to the Russian and world markets.
Among the 207 new labs, 67 are reportedly working in microelectronics, 55 in new medicine, 35 in new energy, 30 in agricultural sciences and 20 in climate research.
According to the press service, this program has been implemented over the past five years. During this time, 707 youth laboratories were opened, operating on the basis of domestic universities. Each scientific team consists mainly of young scientists up to 39 years old. Among them are post-graduate students, research engineers, professors and teachers of higher education institutions, researchers from industry departments and enterprises. By the way, in one of the recently opened laboratories of MSTU Stankin, out of 17 team members, 6 are university students. Together with more experienced specialists, undergraduates are developing domestic equipment for the production of electronic components.
The Government plans to increase the number of youth laboratories to 900 by 2024. 17 million rubles were allocated for their operation this year. These funds are used to purchase the necessary raw materials, reagents, materials, as well as to support the scientists themselves.
Previously network edition “Teacher’s newspaper” reported on the creation of a network of university campuses as part of the Priority 2030 program. The implementation of the project is aimed at creating a comfortable environment for living, recreation and education. On the basis of the campus, students and graduate students under the guidance of teachers will be able to work in laboratories, which means to embody their creative ideas and ideas.
