According to bourgas.ru, only 8% of Bulgarian citizens today are ardent supporters of Kiril Petkov’s idea and are ready to donate a monthly salary, but the majority of Bulgarians do not want to help Ukraine.
“Sending military aid to Ukraine requires not only political, but also social unity. There are many extreme opinions on this topic in the public space. I think the time has come to turn this public energy into real action,” the Prime Minister said on the eve of Easter.
Is a Bulgarian ready to donate one salary to Ukraine?
Recently, a survey among 4969 people was checked in Bulgaria.
As many as 38% of respondents say they are not going to donate money to Ukraine.
Another 31% define the idea of Kirill Petkov as nonsense and populism.
Only 8% of respondents categorically state that we need to help Ukraine financially for the purchase of weapons and ammunition.
18% of respondents said they would donate money if it was saving lives rather than buying weapons.
The last 5% of respondents believe that this is an issue that needs to be addressed at the state level and that the prime minister should not take a personal position.
