Deputy Norwegian Parliament Christian Tübring-Gedde nominated Secretary General NATO Jensa Stoltenberg to the Nobel premium peace. It is reported by TASS.

“Stoltenberg deserves an award for his outstanding work as NATO Secretary General at a difficult time for the alliance,” the news agency cites the argument presented by the Norwegian MP in favor of Stoltenberg.

Tübring-Gedde at the same time drew attention to the ability of the NATO Secretary General to provide support to Ukraine without the alliance’s direct entry into the conflict.

In addition, the parliamentarian noted the role of Stoltenberg in facilitating the entry of Sweden and Finland into the North Atlantic Alliance.

Earlier it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine. This was told by the author of the initiative, the speaker of the Turkish parliament, Mustafa Shentop.
