DPRK warned Japan that it plans to launch a military reconnaissance satellite between November 22 and 30, reports NHK TV channel.
“Japanese Defense Minister Kihara Minoru has made it clear that the government will gather intelligence and remain on alert to prepare for the possible launch of a North Korean military satellite,” it said.
According to the head of the department, the Japanese military remains ready to destroy any flying objects that may fall within the country’s territory.
Earlier it became known that in North Korea developed a new type of solid propellant motor for medium-range ballistic missiles. Engine tests for the first and second stages took place on November 7 and 11, respectively. As part of the tests, the technical characteristics of the products were assessed.
