In the city of Kirovsk, Leningrad Region, on the morning of January 1, a drunk 25-year-old car-sharing driver who had previously been deprived of a driver’s license knocked down a woman with children. This was reported in the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Russia.
According to the report, the accident occurred at about nine o’clock in the morning in the courtyard of house 6 on Novaya Street. The driver flew onto the lawn, where he hit the family, and then drove into a parked car.
“As a result of an accident, a woman received a broken leg, a three-year-old son was seriously injured and was placed in intensive care, and a five-year-old daughter died on the spot,” the department said.
Earlier, the Public News Service wrote that a man rented a car in car sharing after a corporate party, got behind the wheel while drunk and hit a pedestrian. After the accident, he did not stop and drove around St. Petersburg with a corpse on the roof of the car.
