Before the New Year, Moscow is decorated and becomes a real “Russian queen”. This was reminded to Muscovites and guests of the capital by the historian, editor-in-chief of the Telegram-channel “Architectural Excesses” Pavel Gnilorybov, recalling the places that are best suited for walking these days.

“It is clear that many citizens will walk in the center along the grid of pedestrian streets and take pictures with bright design details and art objects. However, this is not the only thing I would advise you to devote this time to,” he said in an interview with “Moslentoy”.

Frosty weather Gnilorybov advised to enjoy in the capital’s parks – Neskuchny Garden, Sokolniki, Filevsky Park. Covered in snow, Tsaritsyno, Kolomenskoye, and especially Kuskovo look wonderful. The latter recently completed the reconstruction of the Grotto.

As for the Moscow region, the Muscovite recommended going to the parks of Malevich and “Razdolie” in the Odintsovo district, to the ancient cities of Serpukhov, Zvenigorod, Sergiev Posad, Zaraysk and Kolomna.

“For those who want to combine walks with visiting museums, I advise you to go to New Jerusalem,” Gnilorybov said, adding that one of the largest exhibition spaces in Europe is located there.
