More than a hundred Mikhailovites took part in the motor rally dedicated to the Victory Day

A solemn rally was held at the stele in the village of Poyarkovo on May 7. On this frontier, on December 7, 1941, Soviet troops deployed the Nazi invaders for the first time. It was here that the participants of the rally gathered in honor of the winners of the “brown plague”.

“On the eve of the 77th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, I thank everyone who has gathered here. We know at what cost this Victory was given. We honor the feats of arms and labor, those who survived and won our freedom,” said the head of the Poyarkovsky settlement, Svetlana Safronova.

The rally went from the stele near Poyarkov to the village of Oktyabrsky through the center of Mikhailov and several settlements. Among the participants of the rally is the head of the regional administration Yevgeny Sidorov. At the finish of the rally, Evgeny Vladimirovich said that since childhood, with special reverence for the feat of veterans, he has been participating in all events dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. In this Victory there is a contribution of his grandfather, who fought and, together with other soldiers, conquered the world.

“Today my family and I are in the rally column. With great respect for the feat of the generation that defended us from fascism, I am participating in this action. I see that all participants are united by gratitude to the heroes for our freedom. For the fact that we can live, study and work in our native land,” said Evgeny Vladimirovich.

In the family of Sergei Chikin, two grandfathers fought against the Nazis. He himself, his son and the whole family today are in a column on motorcycles.

“Every May 9th is a sacred holiday. We always try to support all promotions dedicated to the Victory Day. My two grandfathers fought, they were lucky, and they returned alive. We try to pass on this memory to children so that they know and remember their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. This is a very difficult time for our country. It is important to support all those who fulfill the order of their Motherland and preserve the world that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers conquered 77 years ago with such difficulty, at the cost of their lives.”
