Premier Poland Mateusz Morawiecki spoke about the corruption scandal in European Parliament. The politician condemned the deputies for hypocrisy, writes Interia.

He stressed that there is a “huge booth” in the EP. This, according to Morawiecki, became clear when representatives of parliament commented on the incident. The Polish prime minister believes that the European Union today is not law-abiding. And the European Parliament needs to “put itself in order,” the head of government said.

“Those who are trying to teach other countries, including Poland, about what the rule of law is, should beat their chests and clean up their own backyard,” Morawiecki said.

Greece’s Deputy Head of the European Parliament, Eva Kaili, was detained in a corruption case surrounding the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on December 9. During searches in the European Parliament on Monday, December 12, 1.58 million euros in cash were seized. The money belongs to Kylie and former Italian MP Pier Antonio Panzeri.
