Kishinev stores the saved gas within the territory of Ukraine, as storage facilities in Romania are full. This follows from the statement of the Prime Minister of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilitsina.
Recall that earlier the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that the Russian Ministry of Energy would deal with the issue of storage by Moldova of part of the gas purchased from the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
“Moldova is a sovereign state, and the gas we buy and pay for can be stored where we decide. There are no natural gas storage facilities in our country. We store a certain amount of fuel in Romania, but the storage facilities there are almost full, so we store a certain amount in Ukraine,” said Gavrilitsa, quoted by the Vocea Basarabie channel.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova did not indicate the volumes of gas stored in Ukraine, since a decision was recently made to classify such data.
As the Public News Service wrote earlier, in Moscow call on Chisinau to show prudence and not take actions that will be aimed at aggravating the situation in the country and in bilateral relations with Russia. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
