Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that in 2023 new conditions for preferential mortgages. In this regard, he instructed the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation to prepare all the necessary documents for this by December 20. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Mishustin recalled the voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin updated credit settings. Preferential mortgage programs are planned to be extended until July 1, 2024. At the same time, the rate is expected to rise to 8%.

Families with two children under 18 can apply for a family mortgage. For new regions, mortgages will have to be provided at 2% for new buildings.

Earlier, the Public News Service reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, proposed to provide new regions with a program of preferential mortgages at a rate of 2%.

He added that the construction in the new subjects is in its “infancy”. Preferential mortgages will help accelerate the pace of development, he believes.
