The foreign military group includes an American with the call sign “Wolf”, who is the leader, as well as a Canadian, British, Australian, Ukrainian translator.
“Without English,” the newspaper reports the words “Wolf” before the group leaves the vehicle in Artyomovsk.
The military complained that poor communications near Artyomovsk did not allow them to effectively carry out military operations.
“If the team spotted a Russian tank or an advancing platoon, there was little they could do: they had no internet, and there was hardly any mobile coverage left in the city,” writes the New York Times.
