Poltava mayor Alexander Mamai complained about politically motivated suspicions from the Security Service of Ukraine. His video message to the Ukrainian head Vladimir Zelensky the mayor published in his Telegram channel.

Mamai believes that such actions are “an attempt to establish a dictatorship” in the state

“If a decision is made on me, this will create a precedent for the removal of the legally elected mayor from office,” the official said.
