The manufacturing company Baykar, which became known thanks to Bayraktar drones, is testing another of its inventions – the Kızılelma unmanned fighter. The novelty will be able to conduct a full-fledged battle in the air.

According to the publication Defense Express, during the tests they will check the operation of the engine in dynamics, the effect of vibration while driving along the runway, as well as transitions to different operating modes. True, the unmanned fighter has not yet left the ground.

The first flight of Kızılelma is scheduled for next year. In addition, the company plans to produce this and other drones in Ukraine.

The Turkish-made unmanned fighter uses the AI-25TLT turbojet engine, which was developed by Motor Sich. This engine will allow the drone to reach speeds of up to 800 km/h.

At the same time, the drone will be able to stay in the air for five hours, and can also carry a combat load of about 1 ton.
