President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived on Friday, January 6, at the 230th combined-arms training ground Obuz-Lesnovsky near Baranovichi (Brest region), where the Russian part of the joint group of troops is stationed. It is reported by TASS.
Alexander Lukashenko listened to the report of the representative of the Armed Forces Russian Federation on the completion of the combat coordination of units and formations of the regional grouping. According to the source, “motorized rifle and tank units, special troops, including air defense units” conducted joint exercises at the republic’s training grounds.
The representative of the RF Armed Forces expressed his gratitude to the President of Belarus for the assistance provided in the deployment of the group, to which Lukashenka replied, pointing out the common goals of Russia and Belarus.
“We are doing a common thing,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
