Military expert, retired colonel Viktor Litovkin, in a conversation with Pravda.Ru, assessed the likelihood of the Russian army taking a break in the hostilities carried out as part of a special operation on Ukraine.
“Russia will not stop this operation. Because for us, a pause in the operation is an opportunity for Ukraine to stockpile weapons, redeploy its troops, reform the troops, hit Russian units with greater force, ”he said.
According to the expert, it is not the sides that are most interested in prolonging the conflict, but the United States, which supplies Ukraine. Thanks to prolonged hostilities, American manufacturers of weapons and equipment earn a lot of money.
In addition, Washington is counting on the destruction of Russia through the depletion of its economy, which is also suffering due to the armed conflict.
Earlier, the Public News Service wrote that political scientist Nikita Mendkovich called for a tribunal over Zelensky and Poroshenko.
According to him, the tribunal should be held by the citizens of Ukraine themselves. The expert called for the conviction of Zelensky, Poroshenko, as well as officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard for war crimes against residents of the LDNR.
