Mayor Evgenia Uvarkina reported in his Telegram channel that in order to prevent an epidemic, the region is switching to the work algorithm that was in effect during Covid-19. The relevant resolution will be prepared by the city administration before the end of the week. She noted that a well-established mechanism would reduce the increase in the incidence. It is expected that the region will be able to overcome the difficult epidemiological situation during the New Year holidays.

Regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor reported that a little more than 14,000 cases were detected over the past week, including 7,750 children under the age of 14. According to statistics, this figure is 36% higher than in previous weeks. In the structure of viruses detected in the region, 66% is occupied by influenza B.

Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” reported about the epidemiological situation in other regions of our country. Chief Sanitary Doctor of Russia Anna Popova noted that education was partially suspended in almost 600 schools and 12,662 classes. The regions continue to take measures to prevent influenza and SARS. For example, in Tyumen regional authorities have introduced a set of anti-epidemiological measures due to deteriorating statistics, in particular, all schools and institutions of additional education, culture and sports have switched to a remote location or temporarily suspended their activities from December 15 to 23. According to statistics from the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, for the week from December 5 to December 11, the incidence of influenza and SARS increased by 39%. It is noted that among all identified cases, influenza A (H1N1) -2009, the so-called “swine flu”, is the most common.
