Schoolchildren of all educational institutions of Lipetsk go into quarantine from December 19. In connection with the increase in the incidence of influenza and SARS, it was decided to transfer all students to a remote format until the end of this year.

Mayor Evgenia Uvarkina reported in his Telegram channel that in order to prevent an epidemic, the region is switching to the work algorithm that was in effect during Covid-19. The relevant resolution will be prepared by the city administration before the end of the week. She noted that a well-established mechanism would reduce the increase in the incidence. It is expected that the region will be able to overcome the difficult epidemiological situation during the New Year holidays.

Regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor reported that a little more than 14,000 cases were detected over the past week, including 7,750 children under the age of 14. For example, in Tyumen regional authorities have introduced a set of anti-epidemiological measures due to deteriorating statistics, in particular, all schools and institutions of additional education, culture and sports have switched to a remote location or temporarily suspended their activities from December 15 to 23. According to statistics from the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, for the week from December 5 to December 11, the incidence of influenza and SARS increased by 39%. It is noted that among all identified cases, influenza A (H1N1) -2009, the so-called “swine flu”, is the most common.
