I agree with Olha Stefanyshina, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, that Ukraine’s accession to the EU is possible without the end of the war or de-occupation.

But this entry with greedy and petty politicians is not possible. What I mean? President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed law No. 2736, which actually kills the anti-money laundering system by Ukrainian politicians: it cancels lifelong financial monitoring for officials and politicians.

Let me remind you that the fight against money laundering is one of the seven requirements for starting negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

With one edit, politicians killed the financial monitoring system of their loved ones, which means they blocked the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Obviously, this edit will have to be voted down. I hope that this will happen as close as possible to the elections, so that everyone remembers exactly what the authorities were doing during the fierce battles in the Donetsk region.

And the authorities have canceled lifelong financial monitoring for politically exposed persons – that is, for themselves.

Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) will now only be subject to such monitoring for three years after leaving office.

It is very convenient, for example, for deputies who need to legalize the cash they received in envelopes for several years.

Three years after the expiration of the term, he “won”, and there, only having fallen out of monitoring, he legalized the cash and live for himself, as a real “servant of the people” should.

When the lobbyists of this trash convince that there is no lifelong financial monitoring anywhere in the world, you should know that they are lying.

Lifetime PEP financial monitoring is, for example, in Austria, Belgium, Cuba, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Jamaica, Lithuania, Mexico, Panama, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Britain and many other countries.

Summing up: for the sake of being able to launder money, part of the authorities broke one of the seven mandatory requirements of the European Union regarding Ukraine’s entry into it.
