Lebanese TV channel to be blocked in Israel

Minister of Communications Israel Shlomo Karhi signed a decree blocking the Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen in the country, which he associates with the movement Hezbollah. About it reports Haaretz.

Kar’i signed a decree blocking Al Mayadeen’s websites, as well as the closure of its offices in the West Bank and the confiscation of property. This comes after the Israeli Security Cabinet approved rules allowing the country to limit access to channels considered a threat to national security, as well as to close their offices and seize broadcasting equipment.

“Broadcasters like this, which align themselves with the enemy and harm Israel’s security, are doomed to be blocked,” stated Karya. He also accused Al Mayadeen employees of serving hate-promoting terrorist organizations.

The fact that Israel has allowed to stop broadcasting some foreign news TV channels, reported previously on Monday, November 13th. It was clarified that Karya also included Qatari Al Jazeera as channels posing a threat to national security.
