Within the territory of Kinburn Spit in the Nikolaev region, the military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on de-occupation continues, but the state still maintains informational silence. This was stated by the head of the joint press center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalya Gumenyuk on air telethonexplaining the features of hostilities in the said area.

According to her, the specifics of the situation in the part of Nikolayevshchina, which remains occupied by the Russian army, lies in geographical factors. The enemy can pull up reserves there from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region and after the blows inflicted by our fighters.

“Nevertheless, we continue combat work. As soon as there is a result, we will report on it. So far, this is a military operation in silence,” Gumenyuk said.

The head of the press center also added that due to geographical features, the Russian troops cannot place too many forces on the Kinburn Spit, which is surrounded by water from almost all sides.

“Water still creates the prerequisites for not holding on there. In addition, the weather is on our side. At these times, it usually storms very strongly there. Even nature washes away and drains the enemy from this land,” she remarked.

At the same time, according to Gumenyuk, such weather conditions can rather be considered a plus for our defenders.

In addition, she explained that it was important to free the Kinburn Spit from the occupiers so that the Nikolaev port could begin safe work within the framework of the “grain agreement”. The head of the press center expressed her hope that international partners would also be able to help with guarantees of the safety of the route from Nikolaev.

Earlier it was reported that in the Lugansk region Ukrainian military are gradually moving towards Svatovo-Kremennaya.
