Import of goods from Japan to Russia exceeded pre-sanction records, writes JB Press.

According to the publication, the sum of the total trade between Tokyo and Moscow amounted to about $4 billion in exports and $13.5 billion in imports.

“The size of imports exceeds the figures for 2021,” the publication notes.

As the observer explained, Japan is sending an “unprecedented” number of used cars to the Russian market. In addition, the author of the article emphasized that Tokyo continues to supply seafood to Russia, because they were not included in the sanctions lists.

Earlier it became known that the Japanese authorities supported the initiative of the West to establish the marginal cost of Russian oil.
