IN Belgium Police officers found at least 50 packages of cocaine in the office of the Minister of Education of the Wallonia region, Caroline Désir. About this with reference to sources writes Belgian edition of DH.
According to DH, earlier, on charges of selling drugs, police arrested an employee of Minister Van Haelen’s office, from whom at least ten thousand euros in cash were seized. It is also noted that he is the son of a member of parliament Brussels Fadily Laanan.
Spokesman Désir Jean-François Mahieu said Haelen was arrested in a drug trafficking case and was fired the next day for breach of trust. At the same time, a search was carried out in his office, during which law enforcement officers found several dozen bags of “white powder.” Mahieu added that the minister’s office is currently cooperating with the investigation.
