Israel’s security cabinet shuts down broadcasting of foreign TV channels
Israel’s security cabinet, amid a conflict pitting the state against the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, has approved rules giving the government the right to shut down foreign news television channels. The Jerusalem Post shares relevant information.
It is also noted that this decision was made on the basis of repeated calls by the country’s Minister of Communications Shlomo Karya to stop broadcasting in Israel the Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen, as well as the Qatari Al Jazeera.
The politician claimed that the Qatari TV channel provides information support to Hamas, and also exposes the Israeli army to an increased risk of attacks from Gaza. Against this background, the Israeli minister is confident that Al Mayadeen is in the use of the Lebanese radical organization Hezbollah, which even allows us to consider it as one of its units that operate with the support of Iran.
Previously Public News Service reportedthat the shelling of ambulances in the Gaza Strip is associated with their use by militants of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas to transport weapons. Information about this was shared by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the social network X.
