Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Herzog stated his disagreement with criticism of the Jewish state in connection with the actions of the IDF in the Gaza Strip. An Israeli diplomat said the state’s armed forces are “very focused” in their work. Speaking on Fox News, the ambassador also stressed that Gaza is “the largest terrorist complex in the world.”
“I don’t agree with this criticism. We are very focused in what we do, and people must understand that Gaza is the largest terrorist complex in the world with more than 500 kilometers of terrorist tunnels,” the diplomat emphasized during his speech on the TV channel.
He also drew attention to the fact that the radical group Hamas uses civilians as human shields. However, the ambassador also stressed that Israel is “not targeting the population.”
The diplomat emphasized that currently an increasing number of people are deciding to move to the south. This shows that civilians do not want to be used by Hamas fighters. “They understand that they don’t like us, but they don’t like Hamas either,” said the Israeli ambassador to the States.
Previously Public News Service reportedthat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke out about the accusations against the country. According to him, statements about violations of international law by Israel as part of the war against the radical Palestinian group Hamas are nothing more than nonsense.
