Israel reacts to the hijacking of the ship by Yemeni rebels

The Galaxy Leader, which was allegedly seized in the Red Sea by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, is not owned by Israel. This is stated in the statement Israel Defense Forces (IDF), reports TASS.

“This is the ship that left Turkey and headed to India with an international civilian crew without Israelis. This is not an Israeli vessel,” the IDF press service said in a statement.

At the same time, the press service of the Israeli army called the seizure of a cargo ship in the south of the Red Sea “a very serious event at a global level.”

ABOUT capture the vessel became known earlier on November 19. According to the Al Arabiya channel, there were 22 people on board the ship, including no Israeli citizens.
