Israel allowed to stop broadcasting of some foreign TV channels

IN Israel allowed the government to stop broadcasting some foreign news channels due to the country’s conflict with the Palestinians Hamas movement. This is reported by The Jerusalem Post.

As the publication clarifies, the restrictions affected TV channels that pose a threat to national security. According to Israeli Minister of Communications Shlomo Karya, these include, in particular, the Lebanese Al Mayadeen and the Qatari Al Jazeera. He has repeatedly called for their broadcasting to be stopped in the country.

Al Jazeera, according to the head of the ministry, provides information support to Hamas, and Al Mayadeen is used by the Lebanese movement Hezbollah and may represent one of its divisions.
