Employees of the Investigation Department for the city of Angarsk of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee (SC) Russia in the Irkutsk region opened a criminal case on the fact firewhich occurred at an oil refinery located in the city.
It is noted that Part 3 of Art. 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons).
Previously, the Public News Service reported that a possible cause A fire at the industrial site could have been caused by the gas contamination of the process plant systems. This information was shared in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Irkutsk region.
It was also reported that the fire took life two people. Four more, according to rescuers, were injured.
Recall that the message about the fire was received on Thursday, December 15, at six o’clock in the morning local time. The fire engulfed the installation at the industrial site. Some time later, the mayor of the city, Sergei Petrov, said that the fire was being extinguished on an area of 2.5 thousand square meters.
