Eurostat reported record inflation in the eurozone in July, with inflation in Bulgaria in July 2022 at over 10%.
According to bourgas.ru, Eurostat reported record inflation in the euro area in July, with inflation in Bulgaria in July 2022 amounting to more than 10%.
As of today, annual inflation in the eurozone hit a record 8.9% in July.
The increase in prices was mainly provoked by high energy prices, followed by food prices.
Inflation is highest in Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, where it exceeds 20%.
In Malta, the lowest value is 6.5%.
The data comes amid many forecasts of a looming eurozone recession.
Last week, the European Central Bank raised key interest rates by 50 basis points for the first time in 11 years. However, Frankfurt expects economic growth to continue, albeit weak.
