A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the regional stage of the Family of the Year 2022 competition took place in Yakutsk. Chairman of the Government of Yakutia Sergey Mestnikov presented commemorative medals to the best families of the region and summed up the Year of the Mother.
Press Service of the Government of the Republic of Sakha reported that the outgoing year of the centennial anniversary of the Yakut ASSR brought a lot of positive changes. Regional authorities have taken a number of measures to protect the family, motherhood and childhood. In particular, large families received benefits for visiting state institutions of culture and sports, as well as additional mechanisms for the implementation of the housing program.
The vice-premier of the republic noted that the regional authorities have chosen the course of all possible support for foster parents. In the outgoing 2022, their remuneration was doubled. In addition, as part of the Year of the Mother, 7.5 thousand women received employment assistance, more than a thousand improved their professional competencies and launched their own business.
The greatest response, according to Mestnikov, was caused by the payment of jubilee endowment capital “Children of the century“. As part of the program, more than 10 thousand newborns in the region received financial support from the republican government.
The leadership of the republic also awarded cash prizes and state awards to the winners of the competition.
