In Ukraine, they counted losses due to the blockade of Poland

Every day, Ukrainian logistics companies lose more than 160 thousand euros due to the transport blockade on the border with Poland. This was announced by the director of the international road transportation department of the ZAMMLER group, Alexander Kirilyuk, writes “European truth”.

According to his calculations, one day of downtime for one truck costs carriers 300-350 euros. Kirilyuk clarified that during the day, about 546 cars were unable to cross the border at three checkpoints. “We multiply this by 300 euros and we get 164 thousand euros per day of direct losses due to downtime,” he said.

Kirilyuk added that the total amount of losses is expected to be significantly higher, since it includes risks for enterprises, exporters and importers.

Earlier it became known that Ukrainian truck drivers wait 10 days to leave Poland – waiting time in line amounts to 226 hours. Under standard conditions, the waiting time at the border would be 59 hours.

At the beginning of November, Polish carriers started blocking automobile checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. Protesters demand the introduction of commercial restrictions for Ukrainian carriers and limit their number.
